The qualification
Prochem trained and tested
David holds a Certificate of Training & Instruction from Prochem Europe’s National Training Academy for the Cleaning Industry, covering the professional cleaning and maintenance of woven and tufted carpets, rugs and soft floor coverings.
The course is assessed by practical test on fibre identification, the chemical pH scale, and dye stability, which is the difference between a carpet that comes up clean and a carpet that comes up clean and then shrinks, browns or bleeds.

The kit
Commercial machines, not hired ones
We run professional extraction equipment and Prochem’s own chemical range. It pulls more water back out than a hire machine does, which means shorter drying times and far less risk of the damp-carpet smell that follows a cheap clean around for a week.

Carpet cleaning questions
How long will the carpet take to dry?
Usually a few hours before it's walkable and under 24 hours to fully dry, depending on the fibre, how soiled it was, and how well the room ventilates. Our machines recover more water than hire units, which is most of the difference.
Will it damage a wool or antique rug?
Not if it's identified properly first. Fibre identification and dye stability testing are part of the Prochem training and part of every job. That test is what stops a wool rug shrinking or a dye bleeding.
Can you get pet stains and smells out?
Usually, yes. Pet accidents soak through into the backing and underlay, so surface cleaning alone won't shift the smell. We treat the full depth of the affected area.
Do you clean upholstery and mattresses too?
Yes. Sofas, armchairs, dining chairs, mattresses and curtains, cleaned in place with steam and extraction.
Do you cover commercial premises?
Yes. Offices, waiting rooms, function rooms and communal areas across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset, scheduled around your opening hours where needed.
